Girls Health in Girls Hands is an action research project where girls take the lead in researching the health issues for girls in Monterey County, California.

Over 50 young women from throughout Monterey County have been trained in action research and have actively sought out the input of other young women from the County. They are currently finalizing their recommendations and will be presenting their action plan to the community in September and October 2009.

The Girls Health in Girls Hands project is a project of the Women’s Fund of Monterey County, a field of interest fund of the Community Foundation for Monterey County.  The project is funded by The California Endowment and the Women’s Fund of Monterey County.
